The Norway Now 2026 delegation is ready! 

From January 9–13, Norway Now is back in New York, in a successful collaboration between PAHN, The General Consulate in New York. The delegation of artists and works is now ready, and from 23 highly qualified applicants, the jury consisting of Ron Berry (Fusebox Festival) and Iris Nemani (Stanford Live), chose a selection of 12 companies and artists, in random order:

About the jury:  

Ron Berry is the founder and Co-Artistic Director of Fusebox. He has guided the organization through sixteen years of critically acclaimed programming which has been nominated for and won over 200 awards. The organization is most known for its annual Fusebox Festival that features local, national, and international artists exploring the intersection of live performance and other art forms. 

Iris Nemani, an experienced arts administrator, curator, and producer, is Director at Stanford Live, the primary presenter of performing arts at Stanford University. With over three decades of expertise in arts administration and curation, Nemani most recently served as the Chief Programming Officer at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre, a hub for contemporary art, culture, and ideas. Her accomplishments include initiating international contemporary dance series and an international children’s festival.

Norway Now – norsk scenekunst til det internasjonale markedet

Norway Now er et konsept for å fremme norsk scenekunst for et internasjonalt marked. Norway Now er utviklet av PAHN gjennom flere år, og er et langsiktig arbeid for å fremme norsk scenekunst i utlandet. Vi samarbeider med lokale partnere og nettverk om kunnskapsdeling og informasjon om norsk scenekunst gjennom å presentere det ypperste det frie, norske scenekunstmarkedet har å by på i pitch sessions og nettverksarrangementer.

Kunstnerdelegasjonene velges av eksterne samarbeidspartnere og rådgivere gjennom open calls.

Hovedarrangementet går av stabelen i New York hvert år, i samarbeid med den norske ambassaden, og lokale eksperter og programmerer, i tillegg til lokale, eksterne rådgivere.

I tillegg arrangeres konseptet på andre messer og plattformer i andre deler av verden, og er i stadig utvikling. Norway Now arrangeres og administreres i regi av PAHN, ambassader og konsulater, i tillegg til lokale samarbeidspartnere.

We invite you to join us on January 13th, 2025, as we present some of the best performing artist and playwrights from Norway with a dynamic program that includes:

• A pitch session featuring 10 selected performing arts companies and projects ready for touring.

• A new addition: a dedicated reading session and conversation with three of the country’s most influential playwrights.
